Therefore, choosing the right shade for your skin tone is key. Where to start?

Identifying your skin’s undertone. You either run yellow, which means you have warm undertones or pink, which means you have cool undertones. To figure out which one you have, look at the veins on your arm. If your veins run green, your skin’s undertone is yellow. If your veins run blue, your skin’s undertone is pink. (Have both green and blue veins? Lucky you. You’ve got neutral skin.)

Once you determine this, choose colors that complement your skin’s undertones along with your skin tone. For example, those of you with yellow undertones will most likely have yellow, golden, or olive hues to your skin. Gold accessories look best on you. So, choose warm lipstick shades, such as reds, oranges, and pinks.
