I cannot say this enough — I am so excited for fall. Yes, I grew up in sunny Southern California. And yes, I know we only have two seasons—hot summer and cool summer. And I should be used to this by now. But I believe I was born in the wrong state. Because I am a cool weather girl, one hundred percent. I adore sweaters; layers; wools; boots; beanies; scarves. If I could migrate to Seattle (and one day I hope to), I’d be a very happy blogger.
All of that to say, fall trends are here. And most importantly? Fall’s shoe trends. This season, luxe materials seem to win—velvet, metallic, patent leather, sparkles. As do pointy toes, statement heels, embellishments, and skin-tight boots.
So where do I begin?
When it comes to shape, I adore the point. It elongates like no other, making legs look longer than usual. Fall’s got a whole slue of the pointy toe. Like these soft pink embellished shoes from Miu Miu.
For those who like a bit of glam, you can now rock embellishments on both your jewelry and your shoes.
Saint Laurent with its bow back embellishment has me all sorts of happy.
Along with embellishments, extra buckle straps are also making a big appearance this fall. Like these Bottega Veneta’s.
The heel this fall comes in multiple sizes and shapes. May it be stiletto, wooden (like these Valentino’s), chunky, platform (like this pair of Delpozo’s), or square, be sure to get your height on.
I’m loving the idea of skin-tight boots. There are only a limited number of days I want to wear denim in the fall. Having a tight boot to pair with a wool skirt will not only extend my outfits but will also keep me toasty warm.
Possibly my favorite of Fall’s shoe trend is the addition of velvet. It looks sleek; luxe; and all around glam, like these shoes from Alberta Ferretti.
The key to shopping this fall’s shoe trend is to get ready for some luxe, glam, and funky heights. Welcome, Fall. We’re ready for you.
